My apologies, and I certainly don't want to take over this thread, but Peanut was subdued this morning to the point that she wouldn't move or eat.  She's back in the vet's place now and being kept in overnight.  Our previous cat lived to the age of 23, which I believe equated to a human age of 100.  Peanut is under 7 and I'm hoping that this is not going to be the end of her life.  (I am not expending continued words of support, though I do appreciate them, but please don't feel the need.)

JBR,  so sorry to hear this.

Do you know exactly what tests they did on her the other day?
I assume they did blood samples,  and urine,  but do you know if they did a scan or perhaps an x-ray?

I am wondering whether  they give you just a printed receipt for payment,  or do you ask for an itemised bill which tells you each test done on her?

Poor Peanut,  it's horrible seeing them poorly isn't it.

P.S.   Just a thought,  but is he 'a Mouser'?    Is it possible he has caught/ate a mouse that has nibbled at bait in a neighbour's garden perhaps?
