Sounds like maybe she was feeling off-colour for longer than you realised, JBR.

Good news, glad to hear

Just an update and good news.  We are very happy and relieved that our cat who was quite ill is now, following regular use of a medicine supplied by our vet, almost back to normal.  We visited the vet again today for the usual annual booster injections of both cats, and the cat which was ill had a blood test.  We are very pleased that her blood-glucose level is actually now back to normal levels.  Bearing in mind that we would have needed to give her daily injections of insulin, she now needs only the daily oral medication which she has been having, though this will be for life.

As an insulin-dependent diabetic myself, I wish that I could manage with oral medication only!
