Quote from: muddy on May 18, 2025, 11:07:58 AMDelighted to see the silent majority in Ireland coming out to vote for Israel !

I'd like to think that the majority of white British people support Israel, and happy that Ireland does.
Of course, and unfortunately, the same position may not prevail in years to come!

largely because white British probably won't. If I were younger I'd be looking at moving out myself the way things are going.

I tend to agree.  If I were younger, I'd wait until Labour and TwoTier are out on their ears, and assuming Reform are our next government and that the country hasn't reached a desperate position yet, I'd remain and hope for the best.
Certainly, if Reform doesn't get elected and whoever does fails to turn things around, I'd seriously think about leaving.  Unfortunately, at my age it still might not be worth emigrating.  Marge, on the other hand, is nine years younger than me and that could well tip the balance.

I'd suggest that if your wife is 9 years younger than you it may ne unfair emigrating. I'll leave it to you to figure out why....

To be perfectly honest, the wife and I are very closely in love with each other.  If there were to be any emigrating, it would be the two of us together.
I would also have no problem if my wife plans to emigrate after I have turned my toes up.

I was thinking of her being left abroad far away from friends and family without you

I don't think so.  She has many friends and family here and wouldn't think of emigrating without others.  We (I) have family in America who we keep in touch with, and have enjoyed visiting them in the past, but I don't think that would be a strong reason for her to go to live there.
Apart from anything else, very expensive healthcare is just one strong reason why not to live in America.

The Irish people showed that they are not all raving anti semites in both the public and jury voting in the Eurovision Song Contest .
Maybe they judged the song on its merits ( it was miles better than all the other crap )

But now the Irish jury is in trouble .

In trouble with whom?  Let me guess!

The Israeli - muslim war will continue.  The latter heavily outnumber the former, but after all these years they have still not managed to conquer Israel for one simple reason:  they are very good at shouting and jumping up and down, but when push comes to shove they fail.

They will take over our country before they take over Israel, because the latter are willing to defend themselves.

The problem is that this is a self-inflicted future!

We, the voters, elected Bliar, five Conservative leaders, and now TwoTier, none of whom have run the country how it should have been run.  Collectively, they have permitted uncontrolled illegal immigration and have introduced a number of changes to our country which have not been advantageous to us, the British people.

Remember that each of these leaders were elected by us in free democratic means, so whose fault is it?  Actually, it could be argued that we didn't have a great deal of choice!
