As always the mention of Madeleine McCann brings out all the worst in people .
The mad conspiracy theories ( why anyone would believe a Charlatan  like Goncarlo Amarol , a liar with form of locking up parents of missing girls and someone who is despised even by his fellow cops ) is beyond me .

And then there is the arrogant GP syndrome .
So they are doctors ?
Doctors  are not infallible they get things wrong too .
The McCanns are not an appealing looking couple which goes against them as it did the in the case of Lindy Chamberlain. , the mother of the child taken by a dingo .
Mrs McCann has never worked again as a GP

They will take their sorrow and guilt  to the grave .
Who would walk in their shoes for even a minute .

I say there but for the grace of God / luck go many of us .

For the record I don't think any more public money should be spent on the case .
The child is most likely dead . Abducted children are usually killed within the first six hours of being taken .

I hope this thread isn't going to rake over the case, it's been ' done to death' on here and the Mother Ship.   I posted because although I sympathise with them, it seems odd that they've been given more tax payer money 17 years down the line !

Yes, I'm not getting involved in all the evidencial facts but I do observe that most vocal people are those who patently know bugger-all about the case.

Well you've seen enough of my posts to know that I'm not ok with it but also I fully understand why the police, as instructed by high-ups in the establishment, have to appear to be looking.

There is nothing worse that people who claim to know everything about a case that the police of two countries have not been able to crack in nearly twenty years .
