I always groan when I check "Unread Topics" after finishing the word games as sitting there at the top is Connections. I was pleasantly surprised today as I found it easy having solved it in apparently the wrong sequence. Just goes to show that I'm out of step with the world I suppose. Or at least that portion of it that sets American puzzles which I somehow find comforting.

I like Connections, they make me think.  I sometimes start, leave it, go back.  First three were relatively easy today.

I spotted a couple in the blue grouping immediately but couldn't find them all and blew guesses by trying. I should have gone with the greens instead as they are easy once you start looking. Purples - easy when you know.

My usual dismal failure. I even made two stupid errors on groupings I'd spotted. They do set these very cleverly but a lot of the time Americanisms make them impossible for me.

You should consider that a 25% success. A 25% success in pretty much anything the government manages is a huge improvement on current achievements so not to be sneezed at.
