Some very amusing examples on here.
I remember Jack and Vera's 'Old Rectory', as we watch the 'Classic Coronation Street' series.
Old?  If you call the 1930s old.
Rectory?  I doubt that any vicar has ever been near the place, let alone lived there.

This has given me some ideas for naming our house.
It is a 1930s bungalow with 14 steps up from the road.  I'll have to think about an inappropriate name for it.
