This is the one night in the year when I definitely stay in ... well, there is another but I can earn a bob or two then before I get thrown on the bonfire.

I've heard fireworks going off for the last night or two too.

Lovely photo.  We used to go guising as kids, dressed in all sorts of old clothes. Song, poem, joke, and the neighbours would give us a sweet or a penny.

Edit - tempted fate!  Have just had a visitation and handed out all of my snacks for next week.

Your poll is about changing this forum. I'm entitled to make changes to the way it is presented if I'm going to honour the outcome. I could have simply ignored it, said no when you first came up with the idea because I think it is a bad one.

Normal posts don't get deleted here. At times it would probably be better if they were just to head off trouble.

I'm sure members have a fairly good idea of whether they fancied a trial or not.  My reasons have been explained. I'm not trying to change anyone's mind or convince them either way, since they'll have their own views anyway.  Hence why I didn't really want much of a discussion/debate.

You could indeed have just said no.

But instead, you doctored my post and poll and muscled in.  That's my main objection.

It doesn't matter now anyway, as I've deleted it just as I said I would.
