I'm the same, Scrumps.  :upvote:

What also annoys me is,  we are not allowed to use our mobile phone whilst driving,  but its ok to  watch a television screen!!
If that aint madness, I don't know what is.

P.S.
Dentist said I didn't need a tooth out yesterday after all.    Phew.

Lovely sunny day here but the hoolie is still hanging around

GrannyMac

Had a walk through the park, and to the library, gale force at times, but lovely and sunny 😎 .
Its not how old you are, but how you are old. 💖

Captain Scarlet used to drive backwards, watching a TV screen to see where he was going.  If it's good enough for him...

Morning all.   It's dull, grey, and chilly here.

I am off for an eye test shortly, as they had to cancel last week's and remade it for this morning.

This afternoon I need to get over to my Vets to collect Liffey's  supply of meds.

I have been dragged out of retirement to help a former student with some A level algebra for an hour or so.

Since I haven't looked at any of this drivel for several months, it'll be interesting to see whether my once formidable prowess shows any sign of life.

Pretty unlikely.  Worth a punt though.

Morning, What a horrible night I've had, all bad dreams about the deaths of people I've lost, mum, dad, nana and gramps. A couple of close friends and my dogs, sheepies and Dageus. Dunc woke me up as he was worried, said I was getting really distressed. Hope that was not a sign of something to come. 😲 Got up and had a latte and returned to bed around five. Finally slept and not long awake Sheeeze I really hope that was a one off.
Might go to the pool this afternoon but must go to Tesco for some bread n milk ect
Enjoy your day everyone. 🙂

What a horrible night you've had, Raven.
Try not to let it play on your mind, then hopefully you will sleep better tonight.

Raven

Trying to let it alone Mups. I usually know if I've been dreaming but I don't ever remember it on waking. So that little lot has totally thrown me. Heading off to the pool shortly, it shouldn't be too busy now the schools are back.

I hate it when the windscreen wipers make that loud scraping rubber noise as they swish back and forth over the windscreen,  so I called into Halford's while I was out yesterday to get some new wipers.

I am sure the men know this,  but did the ladies know that one front wiper is a lot longer than the other one?
I didn't.

So I thought the bloke in the shop had selected the wrong wipers!
I have honestly never noticed anything other than the tips are level,  so one would assume the two are the same,  but I learned something yesterday  -  they are not.
I went outside and looked at my car,  and felt so gormless, because the bloke was correct, they are two different lengths,  it was my lack of  previous observations.

So I went back in the shop, grovelled, and apologised,  and asked them to fit them on for me  (an extra £9 for fitting),  but I now have lovely smooth wipers gliding over my windscreen which don't make a sound.

Don't worry.  After all, he probably hasn't got the faintest idea about it anyway, so you can sound like an expert and he won't know the difference!

This was indeed the case, fortunately. 🙂
He lives just off Kingsway in Gatley.

Well, I can't say that I know him then.  Not living anywhere near Kingsway, so I have no idea how to find him in order to warn him about you!
