To be honest, not having a particularly great day.  It's our estranged son's birthday today and we're kinda down about it.

Ho hum.

Tomorrow is another day...

That must be so tough. Virtual hugs.  ❤️ As you say, tomorrow is another day.

I feel pleased that I did the one on our oven, we've not had it long. OH couldn't. 😉  And I placemarked the page in the car manual to remind me how to do that one, cos I can never remember.
Its not how old you are, but how you are old. 💖

Thanks Ruthio.
It just hits now and again.

I've got the hang of the cooker clock at last,   but always have to get the handbook out for the car clock  -  which reminds me,   I haven't done that one yet!

Next year, you should book it it for a service after the clocks have changed, and they'll do it for you 😬👍

Never thought of that.
Mind you,  I never would learn if it was always done for me, would I.

Only way I can do the cooker clock is to turn it off at the wall. Turn it on again and it's flashing, the first set instructions are simple. The others are not.

bugger. One car I had used to do itself from the FM radio signal I think.

This new one beeps and moans at me all the time...
1mph over beep beep
Drive a bit close to the edge because a sodding van driver coming your way is on his phone and wandering about or a bit towards the middle to see if it's clear enough to go past somebody who forgot there are gears higher than 2
I don't know what most of yhem are binging and bonging for but all the sensors for a reason to beep at you make cars a lot more expensive.

Mine is the same Klondy.  It even decided recently to start bleeping whenever the speed limit changes, which naturally causes another set of bleeps telling me I'm travelling over that limit.

I couldn't stand all that stuff.

Many years ago I passed my test (1st time),   without all those silly,  childish toys.
I don't want bleepers to tell me I am near the kerb,  near the car in front,  or near the white line -  I have got eyes for that.
The more gadgets they put on cars,  the more they cost, and the more there is to go wrong.

I drive older cars as I like mechanical ones NOT computers on wheels. I had a loan car a while ago as mine was in the garage and I hated the damn thing. I ended up stealing Dunc's Land Rover to go to the pool and for shopping as I was quite wary of the new fankled thing. Needless to say Dunc was not amused.

We hired a car in Spain a few years ago, which had one of those automatic ignition things which meant the engine would stop while you waited at lights or in a queue.  I'd never heard of that before, yet alone driven one.   Highly disconcerting, especially when you're trying to get your head round it being a left hand drive as well as roads and motorways being on the "wrong" side.

Ooh No, Dexy.    I'd never be able to manage a car that keeps switching off,  let alone driving on the wrong side of the road.

I'm not keen on those type of cars either though there's quite a few up here. I just feel it's a lot of unnecessary wear n tear on the Starter, Points and plugs.
AND, What if the bugger refused to start again at lights or a junction.
