The first storm of the season has been forecast for this Friday - 'Storm Austin'.

It is supposed to be hitting the South of the country worst.  and
They are saying to expect heavy rain, and 70 mph winds.

Doesn't sound very good, does it . . .

Alex

So much rain here today.  I've got a grand-dog staying for a few hours but she hasn't settled and is probably missing her brother who is at doggie day care.  I'm sure she knows it's time her dad arrived home from a 6 til 2 shift, as she's been up at the window.

I've done my stint at Age UK this morning, then popped into the library, and had a walk to the shops.  Dropped off for a while after lunch.  Then put new bedding on, a job I find quite tiring nowadays.   Nice warm brushed cotton now the weather has changed. Will watch Bake Off later.
Its not how old you are, but how you are old. 💖

I risked walking to the shops and got away with it despite the forecast.

Good morning all.   Bright and sunny at the mo,  but not going to last apparently.

I am off for an eye test this morning,  so best get a move on.
Have a good day all.

Oh NO . . . . .    I have just this second had a phone call from Northampton hospital eye dept,  they have had to cancel  my appointment for 10 a.m.     I had transport booked to take me in 15 mins time as well!!

The lady told me that the consultant I was seeing has had a car accident on her way to work,  so can't get in to work.     Hope its not a bad accident.

Crikey.  Hope she's ok.

Not doing much today.

Would that be a bi-product of your overdue menopause 😬😬?

klondike

I'm told it's a byproduct of the male menopause

Well, you may laugh.. and mock...
I don't think you men realise what us women have to go through after years of bearing your children and giving you years of pleasure.. PLUS feeding you , doing your washing and looking after you when you are in BED with a BAD cold...
We can't even call the menopause our own.. You want to get in on the act...  :nooo:

I think the reason Dex took the Mickey and I corrected his confusion over symptoms was more the LATE menopause. Now there is variation with the onset and indeed duration but if you are only just suffering the menopause (even late menopause) you must have taken a very early retirement.

Just an afterthought - this wasn't by any chance another google diagnosis?
