For the first year or so after George died then Holly, my house felt really empty, it still does.  My son has two Beagles and they are lovely dogs. I see them often, but it's not the same as having a warm fluffy little body curled up on your knee at night.

I wonder how old this photo is (it isn't really a photo as I just asked AI to create the scene). I don't think we see the sort of crowds on British beaches these days that there were years ago. The world and people have moved on from what were simpler times. Not that they seemed all that simple.

I still remember the old beaches with an Ice cream man,  Donkey rides,  and a  Punch and Judy show.

I remember a man selling sweets. His call was Mint IMPERIALS     Aniseed BALLS

I also remember keeping an eye out for the deckchair man so you could scoot off before you got charged.

Loved riding the donkeys on the beach .
The donkey man would chase them off and they would run a certain distance then come back to him .Such clever little things
I remember there was a big metal handle fixed to the front  of the saddle to hold onto .
Health and safty was not an issue .

I remember standing under the pier because it was raining

And playing rounders on the green grass at Littlehampton..

Good morning all.   Hello! smiley 10
Bright and sunny here,  a good washing day by the looks of it.

Nothing much planned, other than some paperwork,  hoovering, and waiting for the chap over the road to come and and look at a bit of guttering over the bay window that looks a bit dodgy.

Have a good day all.
