The boring thread.....

I was utterly indulgent,  and had a good sleep in this morning,  after propping the back door open for the dogs go out if they needed.   Feel much better for it, too. 

We've got  a 'moderate'  risk of thunderstorms this afternoon, and through until next Monday!

Mups I put my washing out .
Came a rainstorm 
Rushed out got the washing tripped over , spreadeagled on the lawn surrounded by pegs .
Got up collected soggy washing 
Went in absolutely soaked with two bruised knees .
Mr M says I looked out the window and saw you had already brought in the washing .

Note to self 
Don't die in the back garden he won't notice until dinner time .

We have drizzle... ideal for chucking some white clover seed around.

So long as it remains drizzle. If you get a downpour it's probable that the seed will wash away.

Going to give the grass (lawn) area a second raking over to clear out all the crap stuff..
I am hoping to sew lots and lots of white clover seeds mixed with sharp sand..

Emmmm, Excuse my ignorance, but why do you want clover in your lawn? I always rake it out along with anything else that sneaks in when my backs turned. 🍀

I noticed that Alex had tiny flowers in her lawn.. She told me it was flowered clover..
I decided then and there to grow (stuff) that will give me some form of covering rather than man, many bare patches..

Dockweed makes good ground cover. From experience I can assure you that is is very hardy - almost impossible to kill. No need to buy seed either - it just turns up.

Right I understand now, I've never seeded a lawn but when a largeish patch Dageus ruined started dying off I got Dunc to get me a few rolls of grown turf. I laid that and watered it morning and evening for a couple of weeks, it knitted together well and it's still going strong.
