Morning all.   Really not looking forward to this heat again today.

I am in a bit of a rush this morning as I'm going to see my old Chiropractic friend.  It's a long drive  but she is by far the best.

I have just watered my tomatoes plants before I go,  cleaned the bird baths, fed the dogs, and had my brekkie, so now its shower time and then set off.

Raven, I would really love to see that Aurora.  It must be really magical.

I suppose you could say we're lucky, we have rain and a bit of a wind and it's only 19deg. 🌧
Mups the further south you are the paler the aurora colours, up here it's often vivid, but the sky is clearer and we don't have much pollution like big towns and city's. We usually manage to see it with the naked eye but if I'm down in Perth it's not nearly as strong so the eye can't catch it. You need to put your camera on night setting and you will be able to see it looking through the camera lens.
I Often sit over at the seats on Dunnet Beach if it's not too late, or if it's the middle of the night I get a latte and sit at the garden table to watch the lights dance. I never tire of it. 🙂

Been out. Doubt I will again today other than to put the bin out.

Vlad

33°here, too bloody hot 🔥

klondike

37.1°C now according to my weather station.

Agrees well with others nearby https://www.wunderground.com/dashboard/pws/INORTHAM95

Might default to F for others here as the site is American and I changed the default on my laptop for me.

I doubt the yanks know as well as we do about  what's going on round here.

It's an international site that takes data from compatible personal weather stations from all over the world. Despite being international as it's hosted by the septics it defaults to F which probably only they use now.

Using it means you don't need an app to store the data and it gives all sorts of reporting options. I mostly just use it so I can either moan that it hasn't rained for [insert number] weeks or has dumped [insert number] inches of rain on me since last Tuesday. I say mostly that should be sometimes as I rarely look at it at all.

36°  here.    Another awful night for sleeping.
I just don't want to do anything I should be doing.

GrannyMac

Sleep has been tough. So happy I'm booked into aqua aerobics at 10, cool water!  Going to water my pots, then go to Lidl for more salad stuff at 8am whilst it's still bearable.  🥵
Its not how old you are, but how you are old. 💖

Vlad

Went to Morrisons early this morning, there are people camping in the frozen food aisle...it's still bloody hot I blame the guvvermunt

Mups

Morning all -  well it's nearly lunchtime now.

So hot last night,  I was waking up on and off all night long, just couldn't get comfortable.
Poor dogs have had more than enough too.

Perhaps we should all do a Rain Dance on the village green.

Alex

Tomorrow will be better, up here at least. :upvote:
