Yes,  he will definitely need a new hat,  or if money's tight, try a rubber ring on his head to prop that one up a bit.

So hot indoors again tonight.
Even if I shower I am hot again 10 mins later.
I  hope I can get some sleep as must be up early tomorrow.

Another hot day.. cooler at the weekend.. but no sign of rain..
I haven't been out today.. Cleaned a few windows that are in the shade..
Just had a Ginsters  Cornish pasty for lunch... not cooking today..
My nose is running..
Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

Rained here overnight, very close now.
Its not how old you are, but how you are old. 💖

Alex

Very close here too today, although it's only 25 degrees, it feels hotter.
I'm still sorting out stuff for charity, from my friend's house, she died recently.

I  have been thinking -   do you think it might work if we all did a Rain Dance together?    Rain. Under Umbrella smiley 18

I read a report on a medical forum that said that at our age late 70s+ that we should rediscover ourselves ( whatever that means) and take up the hobbies we had as 16/17 year olds. So if anyone needs me I will be drunk in a field somewhere

. . .  after spending most of the afternoon wolf whistling the girls, and trying to get a date to make your mates jealous.

Just had a shower. Only just over 2mm and I looks like that's it. Lot cooler.

I've got my Grand-dogs for 2 days, should be fun.  They've stayed here before, but never overnight.

Blinkin'  text messages from doctors drive me nuts.

I had a message to go for some blood tests this morning,  but I only went a couple of weeks ago.
Tried ringing the surgery to ask why they wanted me to go,  couldn't get through.
Tried ring the hospital blood department itself to ask what more tests were for -  no answer.

In the end,  I thought to myself I will go and see what they say.
I've moaned about this before about getting texts instead of the letters we used to get which had the tests to be done written along the bottom.   Instead now, we get these stupid texts which did not even say if it was a fasting test or not.    So I thought I'll not have any brekkie or cuppa just incase.

So I was a good girl and just had a few sips of water,  then off I went.
First hazard was the amount of road works was unbelievable.   Roads closed off all over the route I needed,  so had to miles out of my way,  which made me a little late arriving.

When I finally got there, the girl on the desk said I had gone to the wrong hospital!!  Grrrr . .  .
As it was too late to start all over again,  she did kindly tell me they would do it if I could sit and wait,  so I did.    I asked if I was supposed to have fasted,  and she said  Yes,   so bloody good job I had!

I find that unless you ask questions you don't get told anything now.   I know how my dogs must feel being poked and prodded at the vets without knowing why!

Going home the hold ups were so bad,  the traffic had come to a complete standstill,  so I had to make yet another detour and go to the next town for a bit of lunch and shopping instead of where I wanted to go.

I still reckon someone made a mistake and sent me for the same tests twice,  but too late now.

Pee'd off lady from Northants.
