Well that's another hour of my life I'll never get back. Hunting for those damned solar eclipse glasses that I've kept turning up when drawer rummaging and thought I'd never got around to binning. I eventually gave up and splashed out £3 for a pair from eBay.

Likely outcomes - not sure which is most probable

They won't arrive in time
They do arrive but I won't risk them because they look crap
I forget the eclipse
It's cloudy
Other

Regardless of any of this I will carefully put them way for the next one on top of the ones I couldn't find

. . .  unless you can't remember which day he normally comes.

Another sunny morning here.  I think they say the other day there has been no significant rain here since May!

The nice fella who has helped me with a bit of heavy digging in the garden is coming this morning.

Then this afternoon I am hoping the Anglian Water bloke is finally coming  -  after  I put in a complaint about him not turning up the other day after I waited 7 hours for him!  A phone call would have been courteous if he couldn't make it.

People are always on the lookout for cd's and dvd's..
Whatever you make you can donate to a local cat charity..
In my area I would put them on a table on my drive.. and sell them from there... Just put an 'OFFERS' sign up.Mention the charity..

Good idea Scrumps I'd need to drum up some help !

Oh No . . .   I have just seen they are forecasting 30°  again from Tuesday next week.

I don't fancy having to use all the sludge at the bottom of the reservoirs as they get lower and lower,  but that's all there will be left if this carries on.    :worried:

Amazon is my backstop if the eBay ones are junk. Most of the Amazon ones seem to be multi pack and eBay is one pair with a better frame.

I'll need to take a walk to see it I think as it's quite late - somewhere about 7pm iirc so it's going to be low and my westerly horizon from home is probably going to be too cluttered with housing. I'll have to find a good spot up on the hill beforehand. There is a big open space around an ancient hill fort so hopefully there'll be somewhere with a viewpoint.
