Vlad

Today has started well, another milestone achieved successfully.
Today I got my leg through my Y fronts without losing my balance and falling over.

:yay: :yay:  rah rah rah! Way to go Vlad

Mups

Did you get it on video, Vlad?

Vlad

Nah! But getting old is so hard Mups, the other day I thought I had a blackout but then I realised I had put my hoodie on backwards, it was scary.

That's nothing.   Yesterday I put y legs through my T.shirt sleeves, and  my arms through my trouser legs.  Fun smiley 18

Quote from: Mups on Yesterday at 12:11:35 PMI took my little Gertie gal  into the vets this morning.  A general anaesthetic,  teeth clean and polish,  and probably two loose ones at the front to be removed.    Poor Gertie.  She wasn't a happy girl when I left her.

I've  Anglian Water coming this afternoon to look a dodgy  sewer pipe.
Hope he's been and gone before I have to go back to the vets to bring her home.

I am not a happy bunny.

First of all I waited from 11.30 am  until 6.30pm  for the water bloke to come,  but he never showed up.
I phoned Anglian Water to have a moan,  and was left holding on for 35 mins.
Eventually a pleasant sounding man answered and I told him I didn't appreciate waiting in all afternoon and no one turning up,  and with no explanation whatsoever.
He agreed with me,  but said maybe the technician had got sent on another job.

I told him I understand that could happen,  but if that were the case why did no one have the courtesy to let me know!
Again he agreed and said that was bad, but he would get someone to phone me by 10pm  tonight     [/b]to re-arrange another visit.
Again they didn't.    Anger smiley 10  I think its dreadful how they treat customers.   They wouldn't like it if I made them wait for their next payment would they!

Anyway,  the good news is, I've got my little Gertie back home.    They said she was a very good girl.
They ended up taking several teeth out though,  they were all loose.
I know two were,  that is why I took her in,  but I didn't know two big ones further back were loose too.
I'll have to find out what's causing this else she will end up all gummy.
So with blood tests beforehand, to check her liver and kidney function before the anaesthetic,  I have just coughed up a grand total of   . . . . .  £604. 60p.

It's a skill for sure.

Men don't get smarter as we age.  We just run out of stupid stuff to do.

Mups

Still trying to track down Anglian Water from yesterday.    Anger smiley 8

Ocado's just been,  so best go and start putting that away now.

An interesting, but useless fact for you:

The placement of a donkey's eyes in its head allows them to see all four feet at all times.

So there you go.   I bet you're glad you know that now.

Alex

I've had a boring but productive morning.  Fixed a table lamp with a new fuse, put silicone around the kitchen sink, made a red onion and bacon quiche, made coleslaw, Louisiana style even   Sorted buildings insurance out on line and got 200 CDs and DVDs boxed to go to charity.  Now going for a shower and to get dressed.

Does anyone have any ideas how I could dispose of these CDs and DVDs as a lot of them are still in the cellophane.  I've been taking stuff to Roy Castle Cancer charity, but my friend was a great cat lover and we don't have any animal charity shops near to me.....

What about a car boot !!! . I love them..
People are always on the lookout for cd's and dvd's..
Whatever you make you can donate to a local cat charity..
In my area I would put them on a table on my drive.. and sell them from there... Just put an 'OFFERS' sign up.Mention the charity..
