Another Pimms Person hoo rah! We must form a club, 😀 btw Hilary Mantel painted a very bad picture of Thomas More, he was quite evil according to what I read in Wolf Hall

Alex

Heating up again here, not as bad as last time though.

klondike

My son gave me his old electric bike on Sunday. Bit of an issue getting it home as the saddle slipped nearly causing a loss of virginity  but luckily all downhill from where I was when that happened.

I went out for a spin on it yesterday early evening but I'm not sure whether or not I will this evening as it is hotter today.

Men don't get smarter as we age.  We just run out of stupid stuff to do.

Mups

Good job I took Lif back for that stitch to come out,  as they found TWO broken stitches left in.
All done now,  and she is comfortable again now.

My new hearing aids are useless again.

The right hand one is either making strange noises again,  or else it suddenly turns itself off.
Next minute it turns itself back on,  and then off again,   and so on.
This is the fourth pair from the NHS which have conked out in just a few months.

My hearing aid warranty runs out at the end of this month so the Hearing Aid man came and checked my hearing, slightly worse since last year and then the pitch..renew warranty for only 1 year £200 then Signia ( my hearing aids) will no longer repair them being 5 years old....but hearing aid man says I should upgrade, technology has moved and because I am a veteran he could do me a discount......I am so excited and holding my breath....A new pair similar to what I have but upgraded he can get me a pair for ONLY £3000 .....I exhaled..loudly, told I would think about it....   ( which didn't take long) I decided to soldier on with the old pair

People said 'evil' about Thomas Cromwell as well. Hilary Mantel has a reputation as a good researcher, but who can really tell at this distance in time.  The Tudors were a questionable lot at best. A lot of written documents have survived, but how much credence can be given to them?  The people who wrote them could only give their own perspective and that may have been governed by fear of what would happen to them if they fell into the wrong hands. Wasn't it Thomas More who began the rumour the Richard III was a hunchback?

I am glad Liffey is OK, MUps.

Maybe you would have better luck if your vets supplied hearing aids for you - your local NHS seem inefficient to say the least.

Yes Tabs,  my Vet probably would have made a better job of hearing aids.  I'll have to ask them.

Here's another one.
I had a phone call this afternoon from the hospital,  asking me why my GP was referring  me.
Odd,  I thought?
But it turned out the GP had done the referral but had not put why he wanted me seen!

ALSO,  she said not only had the GP not said why he was referring me,   but also, the hospital he referred me to doesn't  even do Podiatry now!

She suggested I go back to him and tell him he needs to start all over again and re-refer me.

Good grief, Mups, words fail.
