It's just a fun day really lol, lots of games and competitions and a BBQ the big event is during the winter..... Usually December. That one has the great big Longboat the torchlight parade, the songs and the boat burning ect ect. Like "Up Helly Aa" on Shetland but not on such a grand scale.
Those photos were taken by one of the professional photographers here and we'd asked her to do it for us, I couldn't take photos like that to save myself. So she did a small set up the beach a bit where it was quiet.

I am off to Leicester today - a fabric buying mission, which should be fun.  Am flying home for a wedding in October, have drafted a pattern for a dress and decided on the colour scheme, just need to find the right fabric.  There used to be a brilliant stall in Leicester market - been there for ages - but I understand the market is being revamped and the stalls relocated to Dragon Square - not sure where that is - so it will be a bit of an adventure.

It's not bad here today but a good bit colder and windy. Not going out again I need to cool off a bit, had a bad morning with my blooming car and I'm still raging.

Another warm day here, 28° at the moment, and will get even hotter after today.   I really don't like it.

Got to take Lif and Gert to the vets this afternoon for their wart removal stitches out.  Lif has been fiddling with hers and made it bleed this morning.   I think the stitches may be pulling.

My friend just popped in for a cuppa and natter,  its always good to see her and have a catch up.
