Thanks CHF.     They are both home now, and with just a couple of stitches each.   I thought they were the dissolving stitches, but they are not,  so they'll need to go back in about 10 days to have them removed.
So good to have them home again.

When I went out this morning,  on the way I came across water pumping out of a leak somewhere,  and pouring fast down the road,  and running  down the hill.

About one and a half hours later,  I came back that way again,  and the water was still really pouring down the hill,  and flooding both sides of the road.  
There seemed to be just one man in van in attendance,  and he was on his phone.

You'd think they would send more than one bloke to try to stop a major leak in this heat wouldn't you.
Next thing we will be hearing  about water shortages, and reservoirs drying up!

We got one of those  ceiling fan/lights a while back. You just take the light bulb out and replace it with the fan, takes a moment to install, they have a remote to work both sections.
Not expensive from Temu.

I think it was my son who used to have one of those, Raven,  but it made a 'whirring'  noise and I wouldn't have liked that in my ear all night.
Is yours silent?

I also might be worried it would fall down on me during the night and chop me into bits!

I made a corner shelf in the bedroom for my Meaco fan. It wasn't cheap but it is quiet and I have it on all night with weather like this

Downstairs I installed a monster and only ever have it on the lowest speed. Any more since my diet and I fear it could blow me off the sofa. Quiet enough to not interfere with TV

Yes it's silent, had it a few years now, but if it starts humming then it comes down. I also used to worry about it landing on me but it's near the bottom of the bed not above us. Also have another one sitting on the chest of drawers, that blows over the bed. This is ours.

Amazon must be busy with their Prime sale. I ordered something for today. Amazon usually deliver here about 3:30 but it isn't even out for delivery yet so it seems it will be this evening before it arrives.
