It is already scorching hot here - and due to  hit 89F by luncheon.  Just done a 2 x hour stint frightening the weeds in the garden - found a beautiful centipede, not seen one of those for years.

Going to make a pot of tea and a bacon sandwich - then, deep joy, going to empty my craft room equipment into the bedroom and drag out the old wonky desks.  5 x new drawer towers and a long work-surface arriving today - that will be fun!

Our green bin charge is £55 this year, it was £40 a couple of years ago.   But what can you do ?
I was at outside on the patio at 6am this morning and it was lovely and cool. My bedroom is already 25 °
the Met Office gives 38 ° for Thursday phew......

I've got the doors open letting it blow right through to upstairs cooling the house for what is coming. Woke up to rain and 16°C outside today and the house 23°C. It's nearly 18°C outside now and the house is down to 21°C. Need the heating on soon if I'm not careful

Mups

Put a nice warm jumper on, Klondie,   you'll soon warm up.

I think most of us are struggling in this wretched heat,  but not much we can do about it..

I've got to take Liffey to the Vets lunchtime.  She's got a big wart on her back which has started bothering her lately,  so best go and get it looked at and see how much it would cost to take if off.

A few spots of rain..  Not going out..

All the best for Liffy...
Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

It's about 26 °C outside here in Northumberland just now, but quite bearable
indoors. My heart goes out to you all in the warmer areas.

Hope Liffy is OK.

Raven

Hoping Liffy is OK and the vet doesn't charge too much.  :V:

Thank you for your kind wishes for my doggies.

Its turned out both Lif and Gert need a wart off.
Might as well do Gert's one on her shoulder before it grows as big as Liffey's.
I really hate coming home with an empty car.

The vet reckoned about £160 for the pair of them,  that's with just a local anaesthetic if they behave, not a general one hopefully.

32° in the shade outside
Not a drop of rain

Thanks Alex.
I don't like being alone in the house without them.
I want them home,  as much as they want to come home.

I just hope they can do Lif with a local, instead of a general anaesthetic,  because she is 14 now.
