Morning lovely people .

Dentist at 12 o/clock today,  followed by the Hygienist.
I hate that bloomin' tube thing they stick in my mouth presumably to get rid of saliva.
Sometimes they really hurt ramming the damn thing under the tongue, then hard onto the gums.  I'd like to do the same to her so she knows what it feels like!

Hi everyone, hope you all slept well...

That sounds sore.  did you have to have one out?

Did you have to go private when they all changed a while ago, Alex?
I pay monthly D/D  and go for a check up every 6 months.
They keep putting the D/D's up though.

Not going to your dentist .
My poor teeth are sore  after going to the hygienist as it is .

Actually Muddy,  I did much better today and I'll tell you why.
I told the hygienist's mate that she hurt me last time with that sharp-ended tube thing.   She showed me the tube and it really does have a sharp edge.  What an utterly stupid design isn't it.   I told her it must have been designed by a sadist.

Anyway,  after my explaining how sore my mouth was last time,  she showed me a different kind of tube.  It was smaller,  thinner,  and actually had a soft rubbery thing stuck on the tip.  This one never hurt me at all,  it was brilliant.    She said they would make a note on my records to use that one in future.

So you see,  there IS an alternative type,   so you need to speak up and tell them if they hurt you.
Best of luck.

I've been with this dentist for many years, at least 20 so when he went private, I stayed.  You're right the monthly contributions go up every year.  Mine is Denplan

A late good morning from me today.

A busy morning here.   A friend called in, but at the same time my Ocado order turned up,  and just as I was trying to see to both of them,  another lorry pulled in outside, and it was  my garden centre delivery of compost!   So it was a bit hectic.

Try to keep them all separate

Oh dear . .  does that mean I shouldn't have put the compost in the fridge, and my Fish cakes in the shed?    :hmm:
