I'm £2.50 up  - I didn't buy a ticket. If only I hadn't bought two then I'd be £5 up

Good morning, everyone. Bright but chilly here in Northumberland, 12 °C.

Heading for the mid day ferry over to Orkney with my daughter who arrived last night. Few things she wants to do there..

Have a great day Raven hope the weather is kind to you !
Sunny and chilly here today, I'm going to tidy up the patio a bit- at least that's the plan !

Raven

Thankyou, I'm tired out. Got the wee passenger ferry from Groats over to Burwick (45 minutes) and Moira met us with her car. Regan was on a Standing Stone Trip, I didn't realise there were so many Sites, I only knew the more famous ones but we saw so many. This was at The Ring of Brodgar.

Watch out for those stones  Raven next thing you know you will be back in the 17th century .

Hopefully with Jamie Frazer .😀

Morning all.
Just bathed Liffey  ( much to her disgust),  and once she's dry, she'll be ready for her trim.

Fitted new gate yesterday. Had it a while but had to wait on weather as its wood and I needed to protect it.  Got fed up with rubbish blowing in off the street - lots of footfall from school shops and bus stop, There are bins but I guess just dropping rubbish is the norm here. Hope they were just dropping it and not chucking it in.

Wow, Raven, they are impressive. I had never heard of them.
Ignorance is not bliss. :embarrassed:

I love The Ring of Brodgar, it's supposed to be even older than Stonehenge. I even met and shared a mug of Coffee with Neil Oliver there a few years back, he's so interesting to talk to.

The stone circle originally comprised up to 60 standing stones, of which 27 remain today. The circle measures approximately 104 metres in diameter, making it the third-largest stone circle in the British Isles. The tallest stones reach over four metres, and the circle is surrounded by a rock-cut ditch up to 3 metres deep and 9 metres wide, carved from solid sandstone. Unlike many henges, there is no evidence of an encircling bank, but the site is classified as a Class II henge with two opposing entrances.
