Sunshine all round..
Been for a coffee.. and a shop.. Watered young plants..
Ordered cement to fill in small crack across my path..
A job I will do myself..
Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

Alex

Not a bad day, a bit dull but the first day we haven't had that bloody wind !    I've got some plants to pot

GrannyMac

Warm and sunny earlier, lovely.

Sunny, but my carer says it's colder than yesterday.

Mups

A lovely morning so far,  but supposed to be dropping back down to around 11 degs. over the next few days again.
Enjoy it while we can, ey.

Paint is malicious and clever. On the can it says wash out brushes in water. So you do and it works but that wash brushes in water lulled you into a false sense of security and you weren't that fussed getting paint on your hands.

Hey ho - guess I'll look like a heavy smoker for a while. The thing is how does the damned paint know what a brush is and come out like it says on the tin?

The sky has gone dark and the rain has stated.. Much needed.. Haven't seen any for ages..
Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

Raven

We have rain too, am glad as it was sorely needed.

Scrumpy

Rain lasted about 4 mins..
Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

GrannyMac

None yet, expected later tonight.

Ours was more that 4 minutes. Maybe 6 or possibly 7. I expect my car is still filthy. Keep getting that sandy muck settle on it. Given the wind direction and temperature it's not coming from the Sahara which usually gets the blame.

I ordered something from toolstation for pickup that was out of stock locally but was supposed to be in next day and I'd get a ready to collect email. Was mid afternoon and I was going out shopping anyway so I went a bit further to Toolstation despite no email. They could see the order and said it should have arrived but after a good look around they couldn't find it. The bloke there reordered it with a credit so it would cost nothing and I picked it up next day.

Now I find in my email...

Hello!
Order YN3384878240 is now ready for collection from the following Toolstation store:
Unit 3A, Express Park, Bridgwater, Somerset, TA6 4RN
Store opening hours are available here
Please bring your order confirmation and be aware that we operate a 'Challenge 25' policy for age-restricted items.
Your order will be held at the store for 14 days. Items not collected will be returned to stock and refunded.
We look forward to seeing you shortly.
Thank you for shopping with Toolstation.

Well I'm not traipsing down to Somerset but at least I know where it ended up.
Wonder if I'll get that refund. Shame it was only some cheap drills for £5.98. I'd have got posh ones if I'd known

Yes Klondie,  I keep getting that sandy stuff all over my car windows, too.
 It's a nuisance isn't it.
If I clean it off, its back again my next morning.

It rained here tea time.  A nice gentle rain,  and I love the fresh smell it brings.
Unfortunately it also brings every slug and snail for miles around too.   PLUS,  I just saw a big spider run across my kitchen floor!

Alex

We had rain here today too, not much but enough to please the plants.

It's raining here now, and it's chilly, 9 °C. I have got my heating on.
Miserable day.
