Alexa said it would rain... she lied... again..
Been to the shops.. Washing all done ..
Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

Alex

Thank goodness that wind has gone.  Yesterday I took my friend out for an hour (she's very ill)  we had lunch (cheese on toast with homemade coleslaw and salad) at a garden centre where the owner's wife runs a small cafe and makes her own cakes, it was very nice.  Today I'm having a late one.  and the sun is out yippee !!!

A chilly day here.
I went to my exercise class again this morning,  and then came home and had a poached egg on toast for my lunch.

This afternoon I had some stuff I wanted to take over the tip.  I don't like going there much,  as at certain times of day they are such long queues, it drives me nuts.
However,  I have discovered the best time to go is around school turning-out time in the afternoon.
More traffic on the roads of course,  but the tip itself was nearly empty.

They are sometimes asking for ID now.  I remember they asked me for my postcode a few weeks back.
Apparently people are coming from outside the area to dump stuff and they are not supposed to.

When I got back home,  I made some lovely Cheesy dog biscuits for my pooches.  The kitchen smelled wonderful when  the biccies were baking.

Mups..I don't go to the tip much these days.. The queues can be horrendous..
Perhaps school pick-up times will be easier..

The sun is shining.. no cold wind.. Don't trust it.. something will happen..

Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

Morning, It's wild here again today, very strong winds and sleet Getting really fed up with this now, it's no longer Winter it's Harrasment.  :yell:
Was wanting to do a bit in the garden but that's not happening, more housework and looking for jobs to do seems to be the order of the day for me.
Enjoy your Weekend

It'll be that global warming doing it.

Good morning good people.
Bright and sunny, but cold wind blowing.  Hoping to get the washing dry before the rain starts later.

Just bathed Liffey this morning,  ready for a trim later.

I am fed up with scam phone calls.  I have two this morning already.  I block them but the buggers till call again.      I just leave the answerphone on now.

Klondy,  I like the clock reminder at the top of the page.  :upvote:

Towels are flapping wildly on the line, very sunny, windy and cold.  Steak, carrots and onions in the slow cooker, smells lovely. Jigsaw on the go, makes a change from listening to doom and gloom on TV.
Its not how old you are, but how you are old. 💖

So far I have altered two kitchen clocks,  my watch, the cooker one  and my lovely old chiming clock.
I will do my bedside one when I turn in.
I always have to read the handbook to alter the car one,  so that will have to wait till tomorrow.

klondike

I've done none.

Most that I use will sort themselves out. There are couple I always change some I never change that will be right tomorrow and some I'll fix when I forget to wind them up.

As I changed my car I don't know if the current one will sort itself out or not. If it doesn't I'll correct it after it has caught me out enough times to really annoy me. Maybe August or September.

The car clock is too much hassle, so I leave it.. It'll be the right time tomorrow.   The rest of my clocks take me a while to alter.....
I've been over to Liverpool today to my friend's house, then to watch a charity match.   She'd made Red Velvet cake, very nice too.  I really enjoyed the day, especially seeing Jurgen Klopp back at Anfield.
