It had occurred to me that they were possibly keeping me talking in the hope a copper walked past but surely nobody could be that optimistic. The younger one may have never actually seen one other than on the telly.

Having my customary flick through online news before rolling over and going to sleep. It occurs to me that both sides of the uniparty owe Trump a vote of thanks. Finally Rachel from complaints has somebody other than the Tories to blame for the state of the economy and the Tories wont have her consistently reminding everybody just how crap they are.

Good morning all.
What a pretty picture on the home page this morning.   :upvote:

I am off to my new exercise class later this morning,  and my computer man who should I have come yesterday is supposed to be coming this afternoon.    I phoned him last night and told him off.  He apologised profusely and said  he had completely forgotten what we had arranged before he went on holiday.

My poorly shoulder is driving me nuts tdoay,  it really hurts.

Well that's 15 minutes of my life I won't get back. My new dishwasher had a problem. I wrestled with a talking contact system and got an engineer booked last week. He turned up and diagnsed which bit was needed, He didn't have one (predictable) and booked me in for today. Yesterday there was a text cancelling the visit and saying it would be rebooked, Still no details of when the new booking would be. Another 15mins with the damned robot.  A revisit is booked and they hadn't told me when. Unimpressed.

That is shocking service, especially for a new machine.   I would not be pleased.

It's the not letting me know that's the annoying thing. Stuff can break even if new and there are lots of different parts - the engineer they send fixes various appliances from various manufacturers. I'm guessing either the bloke is off sick or more likely the part didn't arrive on time.

Just having a coffee before I stain my decking..

I barely use my dishwasher.. I rinse it through every so often..
I do my washing -up at the sink as I go along.. I don't like stuff sitting around in the dishwasher..
Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

Many years ago when the world was young I worked with a bloke as tight as tight could be. I found out somehow that he had a dishwasher. Dishwashing was my contribution to the household chores. I'm  sure you can work out the consequences. I've not been without one since.

There is no doubt that I don't need one but when the old one bust I got another immediately. The current fault is that the inlet valve doesn't close 100% so I turned off the water to it and washed up. That didn't last long. I am currently using it on a shorter cycle rather than the energy and water efficient one which I set to come on during my cheap electricity slot and make sure its water is turned off as soon as it finishes.

Idleness wins.

Decking stained.... Hooray !!! :yay:
Every year I tell myself that it is all getting too much for me...
And every year I make myself do it..
Tomorrow I will paint a retainer wall and steps .. White..
The decking and wall are the two big jobs that I do yearly.. Once they are out of the way
I feel chuffed with myself...

I don't mind standing at the sink washing-up..
I watch the people go by.. The dog walkers.. People heading towards the park..
I have a very large window..  But people cannot see into the kitchen..
I have a bench under the window.. lovely to sit on for a coffee break..
Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

We have a dishwasher, but rarely use it.  OH does most of it by hand,  his choice, so no arguments from me.

Good news Mike, glad you're feeling better, and I'm in awe of your hard work Scrumpy. I was in the pool this morning for my exercise class.  Then a visit to Morrisons, and some weeding after lunch.  That's enough for one day. Tea and biscuits now!
Its not how old you are, but how you are old. 💖
