I slept well for a change,  and even had a lay-in,  (or should it be 'lie-in'?)  Amounts to the the same anyway.

My son and d.i.l.  came over this morning to collect my laptop.   He said he knows a good computer bloke,  so wants to let him have a look at it.  So we'll see what happens.

Nice and sunny, but still a cool breeze.   Son gave my little lawn its first cut this year for me as I am still struggling with the shoulder  (rotator cuff) pain and can't lift much with that arm still.

It's so awful it's addictive! 🤣. And much less depressing than the news...
Its not how old you are, but how you are old. 💖

That's what I thought !   until my DIL told me to watch it just once - and I did, now I'm addicted.
No point in my being snobby about it, it's painful reality telly, but who cares !
My new sofa arrived today, I'm very pleased with it  👍

The lock on my double glazed bathroom window seems to have broken.
The button you have to push in to open the window has stuck, and the key wont turn in the lock either.

Does anyone know whether they can just fit a new lock, or will it mean a new window?

Exactly the same - DIL watched it first.   😊.  Isn't it nice to have DIL who we get on with?

On another forum I visit, so many MILs and DILs disliking and resenting each other, I really appreciate mine.

My granddaughter Amy watched it when she was stopping over...
'Watch it Nanny'... I did..
So much depressing stuff on the tv.. A lot of the (new) dramas are much the same as those before..
It seems that every celebrity who is no longer doing their normal routine now have a farm and get paid for showing us their daily toll.. farming life must be good.. They are all at it..
Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

Bound to be able to replace that I'd say.

I wasn't being snoby, honest!!
But how can something that totally demeans marriage be so entertaining?!!

Mups

Ruthio,  I can't think of any 'Reality'  programmes I like,  and anyway,  I am also fed up with so many so-called 'celebs'  things on the box too.  A lot of these people appear so very shallow, especially the women.

But in all fairness,  we all like different things don't we,  and luckily we have a choice whether to watch or not.   Each to their own.

The other thing I am sick of on TV is the amount of murder films there are,  especially anything American.    Guns, guns, guns,  they hardly show a film without them.

These films we get are always along the same lines too.   Someone gets shot, and some old bloke is raked out of retirement to solve it.
Usually within 5 minutes of it starting there is the first of many killings,  then its nothing but guns and car chases and screeching tyres for the next couple of hours.

The other night on every channel on my TV,  there were nothing but murders on.
