I've got to have another ECG this morning,   but only at the GP's not hospital again, thank goodness.       Once that's out the way, I have to day to myself.

I had an echo cardiogram at the hossie yesterday, I was told one of my heart vales is 'calcified' so I'm wondering what the next step will be, the infamous statins perhaps ? hope it's not an op.   Old age eh, oh what joy !   
I'm going to see a second hand sofa tomorrow.  My thinking is, buying a new one is a big expense and it would probably outlive me.   I've never bought anything like this before and it feels a bit odd going into a stranger's home and sitting on their couch      I'll let you know how I get on.

Alex,  that must be a worry about the heart valve,  but try to look on the bright side.  It's better they  found it,  than not.    I hope it can be sorted quite easily.

Alex I'm sorry to about your heart valve, it sounds similar to what happened to me. You will probably have to have the same operation I had last November, it's terrifying as your mind plays all sorts of tricks on you, I was scared out of my wits if you remember. But, it was all in my mind....Really. The operation was under an hour and I never felt a thing and no after pain. I was awake throughout it all and talking to the nurses.
