You won't normally find those in gardens as they are fussy where they grow - in woods there are plenty of areas you won't find them and others where there is a huge mass of them - some shade is one need and that is often rare in gardens and where there is any it is like as not mowed grass.

Back to rain again  :boo: I used to see lots of early flowers in Dunnet Forest when I walked there with Dageus. Snowdrops, Crocus, Bluebells and a huge patch of Primroses, it was so cheering in a still bleak forest.
Haven't been there this year yet, I don't like going in there on my own.

I have got a few Bluebells which come up each year in my back garden.   The English type,  not the Spanish 'invaders.'
I think, as you say though,  they are more plentiful in some woodlands.

Good morning folks.
I've just made another cuppa.  Do you want one?

4 degrees here this morning ❄❄ I'm off to meet a friend for coffee this morning, she's in the process of moving to Spain.  She's sold her house already and has found a beautiful villa in Almeria.   Hope this isn't the last time I see her !!!

If the neighbours had peeped in and seen you scrubbing out the oven dolled up to the nines I wonder what they'd have made of it

I met my friend for coffee then had a mooch around the retail park.  I came home with a hose for the shower and a click box for the fridge.  :yay:

Random purchases. I have numerous small boxes of fixings - often more than one the same and neither actually used because when wandering around the Middle of Lidl I though t - they'd be handy and forgot I already had some. Anyway the other day I saw some little stacking boxes and thought - I could tidy those little boxes.

I made a start and got bored (and cold as it's down the unheated cellar) Now I have one bigger box partly filled with nuts bolts and washers that I'll likely never use and lots of small boxes in the recycling I also have two identical bigger boxes empty and realised I don't actually have room for any of them as the little boxes were all crammed in little spaces.
