We are back to really strong winds today and heavy rain. The ocean is pounding today but I love watching it like that. Home now and just a catch up around the house then it's jigsaw and audio book time again.

Peeing down today, I got wet in the pool too, but the exercises have done my bionic knee the world of good.  I had a massage and facial afterwards, I now look 20 minutes younger!☺️
Its not how old you are, but how you are old. 💖

A massage and facial ey?    Good for you, Granny.
A nice little pamper can do us the world of good.   :upvote:

I'll be glad when my tendon gets better. It's not the one I bust years ago but the other and I've no idea what I did to it just that it started hurting a bit when walking. I'm assuming it just needs rest and it is getting better but very slowly. Glad it's now and not when it's good weather. I don't think I'm missing much limiting the amount I go out.

Where abouts is it hurting, Klondie?
Would a good knee support   (or wherever it hurts)  help,  just till it mends?

Failing that,  is there a physio at your Gym you could get some advice from?

It's the Achilles tendon. Couples the calf muscle to the heel. I must gave jarred it and didn't really notice at the time. It isn't severe or I'd have difficulty walking. I can still walk the half mile or so to the supermarket and back but it hurts a bit by the time I get home. It just seems to be taking a while to finally just go away.

Achilles tendons are notoriously slow to heal. They are a common problem for Rugby players, often putting a player out of action for several months, whether it is the anterior or posterior

Just for a change, we haven't got a local forecast for the day - heavy rain, of course, but well into next week and already the surrounding fields are flooding. Mary was going home this weekend, but has decided to stay with me until things improve, so it's not all bad news

Good morning all.   Yet another grey, wet day here.

I must go read the Gas/Electric meters for my bill, in a mo,  then a couple of important phone calls to make.

My Ocado order has also just come, so I best go and start unpacking that first - after I've had another cuppa.
