Mups

Yoo-Hoo . Good morning anyone.   I have a feeling I am talking to myself.

I am searching for other humans   . . .       Have you all been abducted by Aliens?

Hi Mups... very quiet here too..
Snow overnight but the sun is melting it very quickly...
Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

Mups

Aah,  wonderful,  not everyone has disappeared,  it was just a dream.
Good morning Michael and Scrumpy.

Snow here too, Scrumps,  just a sprinkling but enough to make everywhere white and sparkling.

I read yesterday a warning to get bread, milk and essentials in before it snows heavier and we either can't get out, or supplies could be disrupted!

Yes, I expect you're right.

Where's Alex got to,  is she alright?

I've got my exercise class this afternoon.  I don't really feel like it, but I suppose I must make the effort.

Ruthio

I've got vertigo, or is it labrynthitis or meniers disease, whatever, hoping to see a doctor later

Alex

Morning all, sunny and cold here with sleet forecast for later.
I got up this morning to find I'd left the electric heater on in the sitting room all night.  The Smart Meter was throwing a wobbly

Scrumpy

Ruthio... That sounds unpleasant..
I hope the doctor can prescribe something to help you.

Thanks Scrumpy...it's definitely labrynthitis, gradually getting better, allergic to the pills I was prescribed on Tues, came out in a dreadful rash!
Got crazy exercises to do three times a day called Brandt-Daroff, they seem to be working....getting better now, another few days and I should be fine.
Really don't recommend it!

Ruthio,  do you mind me asking how your doctor decided whether it was Labyrinthitis,  Menieres,  or Vertigo?
Was it your GP or a Specialist?

The reason I ask is because I have had this awful problem for a long time now,  but even after scans, an MRI, and various specialists,  they still can't come to a decision.
The first Covid vaccine we were all pushed into having,  affected me badly and within 24 hrs of having it,   I was carted off by ambulance.   These frightening dizzy attacks have been happening ever since that day.  Never,  ever before having that vaccine.

I want answers,  but have never got them.
I wish you well,  and good luck.

I'm guessing that was the AstraZeneca one and it has been withdrawn now. You need to do some research because many people have had compensation from the government although I imaging proving anything is hard.

First link I came up with was from the Australian health service but I imagine they will all say the same..

Mups, it was a locom doctor at my surgery, I've seen her before, very thorough.
Vertigo is the dizziness and nausea symptoms of Labrynthitis.
Merniers is an inflammation of the inner ear, I think.
Nothing wrong with my ears which she examined carefully.
The exercises I have to do 3x daily are weird...Brandt-Daroff there's a video to show you what to do if you Google.

Just to add...lordruthio now receiving end-of-life care at his Nursing Home, all my kids here coming and going, so he's surrounded by love and chatter, who knows if he can sense or  hear anything.
So I won't be around so much xx

I am surprised if a locum could diagnose this, Ruthio,  when I have seen several specialists, a Neurologist, Audiology, and ENT consultants and they still can't come up with anything!

I also had a 2 hr appointment with another chap at the hospital who does all sorts of tests like the Brant-Daroff, and making me look at things through loads of different lenses,  sitting me up and laying me down again quickly, and changing light effects,  and he still couldn't come up with a positive conclusioin.

As I said earlier, I have had a couple of MRI's of head, and ears, and now a CT scan of ears for which I am waiting the results still.
My hearing one side has packed up too,  but only one side,  yet these people still keep telling me there is nothing wrong!!    My ears were as sharp as a dog's before all this.
It's very frightening when it starts, and can last for 2 or 3 hours,  not just a few minutes.   It has changed my life.

On another topic,  I am very sorry to hear about your hubby, Ruthio.
What a worrying time for you all.  x x

You guessed right Klondie,  it was the dreaded AstraZeneca,  and it now has a worldwide ban on its use.

I have always believed there was a lot more to this than people were told, but it was all hushed up because of otherwise massive compensation claims.   But people should be compensated,  because they trusted a duff vaccine, which was not sufficiently tested.

I reported it at the time on the Yellow Card Scheme, which keeps official records,  and asked for it to be put on my records at my GP practice.    Some time later I saw that this had not been done, so when I next went I insisted it was entered on my medical history, and finally it was.

Since then I have had 2 different GP's plus 3 differtn Consultants tell me  (very quietly like they don't want to be overheard),  that they have other patients who I have been affected too.
I have always felt the whole thing was a cover-up to be honest.
It is  extremely upsetting when an attack starts, especially when there is no one here to help.

Sorry to go on so . . .
