That's good news Mups.  :upvote:

Now I have a problem with the car, the heater has decided to only blow cold air and I can't keep the windscreen clear in this freezing weather.  As for defrosting it's impossible, unless the car is parked in the sun, guess what.....No sun.  :yell:
AND the garages are all closed till after New Year.  :downvote:

Alex

Afternoon all, really cold here again, 12º here in the kitchen which is a bit chilly, 5º outside.  I'm off to the shops soon, just need milk and something for tea.

Poor Raven.. The motor problem sounds horrible..

Oh dear,   another problem to sort out.
Why do these things always have to happen when everywhere's closed!!

I must be getting soft in my old age,  because I read something today that I thought was lovely, and I wanted to share it.

The article was talking about Snowdrops.
I  really love seeing them come up every year when everywhere else looks so bleak and wintry,  so these words appealed to me:

"Snowdrops are seen as a symbol of renewal and optimism.  Even when the soil is frozen and the garden bare, they still glisten across the landscape and remind us that spring is on the way.

Snowdrops are surrounded by folklore.
Legends include how an Angel breathed warmth onto a snowflake to create a Snowdrop after taking pity on the first woman on Earth who was weeping after being expelled from paradise into a world of endless snow and cold.
This transformed into the first Snowdrop as a reminder that even the hardest times can carry the promise of new beginnings."

And Snowdrops still do appear just when we are in the darkest days each year, don't they.

Morning, A very hard frost overnight the car is solid, damn weather. It couldn't be a worse time of year for this to happen to me. 😭 Going to just stay and clean the house today, :boo:  and we're off to the New Year Caleigh in the village this evening.
Have a good New Year when it comes everyone.

Morning all.   Freezing cold this morning.  It was  -2  at 9 a.m.  Thick ice on my car.   I don't envy Raven with no car heater today!

I've got my grocery order coming this morning,  and a Fed-ex  delivery too, so may as well push the hoover round while I'm waiting,   but another cup oftea is in order first.
