Ok I've relented - you can see them from midday on 31st. I hope they'll last.

Raven

It's 9.10am and this is what the inside of my house has looked like for the past few days when I turn off the lights. I've never known a winter so bloody dark. it's horrible.

Scrumpy

How I would hate to live on the dark side.. Far too miserable for me..

We have a bright sunny day here.. bitterly cold.. But dry..
Washing on... Off to the Co-op soon..
Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

It is miserable Scrumpy, never seen it like this before. Am out feeding the ducks just now. It's good to be outside again, heading over to the ocean before I go home, need a wiff of that sea air.

Realised it needs to be pretty dark everywhere not just at Raven's so display starts about 7pm if everybody hasn't nodded off. I've raided the Jockey's for a few beers while Vlad left Mups and Dex in charge. They'll never notice.

Scrumps,  please would you mind picking me up a packet of cooked roast beef slices?  I've been using them, rolled up,   to hide Liffey's pills in.    It works.

I agree,  it is so miserable when we get so little daylight.

I read the other day that on the shortest day we only get about 7 & half hours of daylight  out of 24 hrs.

Oi,  I heard that!  Been raiding the Jockey's ey . .

I'm going to give the Landlord a call and see if he is likely to be back from his Caribbean cruise  in time for the party,  otherwise we will need the key.   Failing that,  you might need to climb up the drainpipe again Klondie.

I'll go and sort out a nice frock . . .  Oh . . .   and me Mistletoe for midnight.

Mups I used to put my dogs pills into half a tunnocks teacake. They all loved them and the pills got gobbled straight down. I kept them in the fridge and used the sharpest knife I had to half them cleanly, then shoved the pill into the white gooey stuff. Lot cheaper than meat slices too.  :upvote:

I had to google that, Raven.
Only thing is,  they are chocolate it seems.   I always believed that was dangerous for dogs?

I suppose it is if they get it all the time, but they never had enough to do any harm. The white centre is not chocolate just the thin coating holding it together. I used Tunnocks for over 40 years and my parents before me with their sheepies......No problems at all.
