Used to most of my own straightforward servicing on a succession of tired motors. Work was only four or five miles away. Married Veronica and the commute became twenty plus miles eac way, so she sensibly suggested a more modern motor. Bought a nearly new Sierra, got it home, lifted the bonnet, took a long look, closed the bonnet and ever since have done nothing more than check oil and water!
Thank you for the days, the days you gave me

   Sounds a very familiar tale.

A sheet of plastic over most of it. Can't see anything you recognise and can't find the bits that used to be there.

Non starter was virtually always no or wrong petrol mixture or no spark. The bits controlling both were easy to find and service. These days they aren't and you have to add computer says no to the mix.

The thing is though it all mostly just works.

Good morning all,  on this bright but cold start.

I still have the last few bulbs to plant in pots, so must get that done today.  Then a trip to the Co-op.
Bet you wish you had a day packed with this so much excitement to look forward to.
