Another full bin and 6 black bags of rubbish put outside for the bin man hoping we will get a collection tomorrow, this house moving is a pain, but it has has some fun moments old photographs coming to light..clothes that would not go amiss for the young man about town in the 80s, budgie snugglers which are no bigger a Dorito...a an unopened pack of luminous condoms (XXL) ...weird...cigarette lighters for a habit that I gave up in the mid 80s, a back stroke swimming certificate 1962...... weird...

As long as they were happy memories,  that's a good thing.

I guess so, but seeing pictures of when I had hair, teeth, eyes not needing glasses, fitter than a butchers dog....weird ....and indestructible, no fear..weird

It can give you quite a jolt! I was looking at a photo of my OH with the kids from about 50 years ago.  Sadly his once flowing locks have almost flown. 🫤

Is it just me or are people getting more short tempered on the phone, a guy was so bloody rude to me yesterday I had to hang up on him..
This bloke was advertising that he had a Burmese Python for sale so I gave him a call and asked him how big it was, he said, " bloody enormous" which didn't help. So, I asked him, "how many feet?"....  Then he shouted at me   " It's a ferkin snake! It doesn't have feet you idiot!" 
You can understand why I hung up.

Probably right. They'd have called to talk about repairs pdq I reckon

It passed but they've put a note at the bottom of the bill ' coolant leak - leaking into spark plug area - needs further investigation.   Hope that's not too big a job to fix

Depends. Sounds more like a hose than the head gasket because the plugs are in the head so above the head gasket . Hoses are cheaper to fix than head gaskets, water pumps etc.

Doubtless they'll be letting you know.

 Alex...I hope your car doesn't need any major work..
My car is due around January for MOT and Check Up..
It certainly is a problem when things go wrong..
 My mate has a fancy motor with all the gadgets.. cost him a bomb..
It has just broken down... It is at the garage.. Who inform him that it can be very costly to repair..
  Gone are the days when we could just lift the bonnet up.. twiddle a few things and everything was fine..
