Are the problems still going on? Is national government doing anything? Isn't it a health hazard?

The People's Democratic Socialist council of Birmingham are making striking bin men redundant, the union is crapping itself, demanding that the council sit down with them ..again..bin men unable to pay bills, mortgages and it's nearly Christmas.
Council using agency staff ( mine arrived just after 1 am this morning to empty mine.) Agency staff being offered full time positions. Fly tipping everywhere...rats bigger than an armoured vehicle.
Parks staff cleared and cut  shrubs along our Close over the last 3 day and removed rubbish. Roger do far?

I'm amazed that some higher authority doesn't declare this an emergency and take over from the council. Don't the local MPs do anything to get something done.

They did, a Commisioner took over the running of the council in 2023 when they declared bankruptcy...buy lo and behold they aren't bankrupt  they blamed it on 14 years of Tory use and  incorrect accounting, the finance committee had attended the Diane Abbott School of Numbers

He might have taken the oppurtunity to squirt a bit of shampoo on so the rain would make  better job of it. I'm just hoping the 33mm since midnight will do a good job on mine. I've forgotten what colour it is supposed to be but I can remember the number so I won't lose it. Pity it never gets in to do the inner sill and boot lip as mine is absolutely minging. I might even have to clean it myself if I can find a chisel.

cleaning a car in the rain helps avoid streak as the water dries at differing rates on differing areas
