Can anyone tell me what it means when you are looking for something on Google,  but when the results come up, there is  the word  'Sponsor'   above a lot of the sellers,   and you have to scroll right down to find the Company you wanted?

Is this a fairly new thing, because I don't remember seeing it until lately?    And who, or what,  are these people supposed to be 'sponsoring'?

It drives me nuts.

They are paying Google to put them at the top of that list. Basically adverts.

Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

Bit late to set any in time for dinner. Best go and pinch some from the Co-Op. Easier and cheaper too.

I did it.. I bag of potatoes AND a small jar of peanut butter..
I will name you as my accomplice...

I wear them so nobody notices the pink fluffy slippers. I've been waiting for years but every Christmas it's socks again

Would it help if we all wrote to Santa this year, and told him what a good boy you've been?

(Even though we are not too sure about that.)

House next door went through completion. Bloke who bought it has several other houses. It will probably be two flats rather than an HMO as I think the current HMO density rules that out but he told me he's put in planning applications for either. I spent a while talking with him and he seems a good sort. He spent a lot of yesterday tidying the front as it had become overgrown with weeds. A good sign. Especially as he says he puts keeping it tidy in his tenancy agreements. There are a couple of HMOs up the road that look complete tips. I've complained about the bins in one over the road to the council in the past - it's not as though this is Birmingham

He phoned me yesterday to say there would be some work starting today and there could be some banging. I told him no problem. This is a terraced house and I can't expect silence. I'm hoping that the pneumatic drill apparently being used is battery powered

After his reindeer broke some tiles and I've stopped him parking there again I think I'm in his bad books.

That nice Mr Keir wrote to me and my good lady today stating he is giving us £150 for our winter fuel, how very nice.

Wait. Just keep an eye on the other pocket. They should have paid the instalment they missed last year too.

Just noticed - either I've gone deaf, their battery next door went flat or they buggered off.

Hmmm - still some sound - I think the battery went flat. Either that or that little mouse on the stair does have clogs on.
