What are you having done to your eye(s), Vlad, if you don't mind my asking?
(Having had an eye op myself, of course.)

I am having a YAG LASER CAPSULOTMY, basically putting a hole through the replacement lense I had  had for my cataracts

I had that in my left eye in December 2019.  I don't remember having any pain, but had a series of eye drops over the following 38 days.
Nowt to worry about for an old soldier!

Indeed you may, the cataract replacement lens I had fitted some 3 years have thickened and made my vision cloudy, so the plan is to bore a small hole through the lens with a laser, this will allow more light through an improve my vision...that's the plan anyway...😀

Indeed but more of a scream of frustration that I had been caught again and  that I was going to get a few extra duties....which would always start with something like this, "Vlad! The razz man wants your boots in his in tray NOW!"

Mups

It's been a funny old day.
I had a moan to the hospital this morning about one of their staff,  who was both uncaring and unpleasant, and had really upset me.
Then to my surprise someone rang me back a little later and was really nice and kind and sorted me out with an appointment to go in soon.   What a difference.

Then I had a couple more things to sort out,  before having a bite to eat and then was off out this afternoon to a place I haven't been before to get some special compost I wanted.

On the way home I stopped by a friend's house only to find her quite down in the dumps,  so we had a cup of tea, and a good natter and put the world right.    I left her,  I hope,  feeling a little happier again.

One of my dogs who I said earlier in the week had been very poorly all weekend,  ending up with me taking her to the vet twice on Monday!   She was shaking and looked like she was going to collapse.
Back to the vets pretty damn quick again,  because I was terrified she was going to have a stroke.   I was bawling by then,  because that is how I lost this one's grandma.

It turned out, they thought that my the poor dog may have had a bad reaction to an injection they had given her  that morning!     They said to give it 12 hours and if she was no better, to take her back again.
Anyway,  by this morning she was about 90%  better,  and  has steadily improved all day today.
She is now able to eat and drink practically normally again,  thank God.   Fingers crossed she will be back to 100% in another day or two.

Time to switch off and had a good sleep now, and hope tomorrow will be a good day.
Goodnight all,  sweet dreams.

I'm sure your friend felt better for your chat Mups.  Glad your dog's on the mend too.

Good luck with the eye op Vlad, hope all goes well. I too am a devout coward when it comes to pain, I had my cataract done under a GA. 😴
Its not how old you are, but how you are old. 💖

Alex

I went to Stockport yesterday on the train as I no longer trust my old jalopy to do motorways.  Anyway a friend is a nervous traveller, particularly when it comes to changing trains, she was certain she would end up on the Orient Express when having to change trains in Stockport to travel south

The staff at Stockport station were so helpful and let me through to the platform she was leaving from, so I could put her on the right train 🚂  ! She sent a text last night to say when she arrived her daughter was waiting for her. Mission accomplished !

Good morning all.    Grey, cloudy and breezy here, so won't get much washing dry today, will I.
Thank you for your good wishes, GrannyM.

Nothing planned other than a quick trip to Asda to see if I can get the coffee I like.
Ocado have stopped selling it now which is very disappointing as its about the only one I really like.  In all fairness though,  when I enquired where its gone at Ocado,  they apologised about stopping it and sent me a £5 voucher towards my next shop.   I thought that was really good of them, don't you?

Have a good day folks,  and be good.

It is marvelous what they can do concerning eye problems.. They have advanced so much especially where laser treatment is concerned..
