What???  No coach???

You do realise that would be over 180 miles for me to walk, don't you  - and probably twice that for for Scrumpy!

We'd have to keep thumbing lifts,  but that would not be adviseable for genteel ladies like us.

What we need is a big piggy bank kept at HQ,  and we could all put a bit in each week all year round.   Then come holiday season,  we'd have enough to all go to the seaside in style.

Mups, thumbing a life is hardly a walking holiday.
The big advantage for both you and Scrumpy is all the additional exercise you'll benefit from.  Once you've done it, you'll both be so much fitter.  You never know, you'll be fit enough to walk to the moon and back.

Ah, but I don't want a walking holiday thankyou very much.

I would like us to be whisked away in a nice comfy coach,  not stomping along in  the middle of nowhere in gales and rain, getting lost.

Anyway,  I would be so exhausted if/when I ever got there, that I would just need to sit and soak my poor feet in a bowl,  and sleep for the rest of the weekend.

JBR

No problem.  I'll give you a call when I return.

I'm going on a coach trip next weekend, to Stratford.   A couple of people at the leisure centre organise days out and holidays, and a Christmas 'do'.  I don't do the holidays, but a day out now and again, why not!
Its not how old you are, but how you are old. 💖

Coach trips are great if you have good company..
My sister and me did many .. Leaving the men at home.. Great times..

Finished touching up my decking.. I stained it a week back.. It looks fine..
Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

I was up till about 2.30am  this morning with a poorly doggie, so I'm feeling tired today.
I don't know what upset her,  but she really frightened me,  her heart was going like the clappers.
She is a bit calmer today,  but still not quite herself.

I've got some more repotting to do outside,  and need to pop up the Co-op,  but shan't be doing much more today.

I met my friend at the Garden Centre for coffee and a scone this morning.  Might do some garden tidying this pm, or not.

Thanks Scrumpy.   She is doing things that are so unlike her normal self.
She's gone all clingy for a start,  and Lif's always been quite an independent soul - unlike Gertie.
She was trembling and shaking last night,  she really worried me.

This was my Lif some time ago now,  hoping for some breakfast, cheeky monkey!!

Three teenagers set fire to a shop in a retail park just down the road from me yesterday afternoon. Road and all shops still closed some due to smoke damage apparently but it did also spread. Wonder if jobs will go - there won't be another branch nearby of either of two shown in newspapers.

I think this is early on as it turned very black in the early evening.

Lots of stories

Somebody put drone video up. Not as extensive as I thought considering the smoke that was going up. Lidl is just over the road so I hope that reopens soon. I often go there at the end of various walks that can lead that way. Picking up a bag of stuff cuts down the need for car trips.

I've had a busy week, I've visited my dearest and oldest friend who has cancer, had a birthday so I was out two days on trot for cake and a pot of tea and been looking after my grandson for a few hours as they've been off school.  All back to normal next week, although I'm not sure what ' normal' is for me

Scrumpy

Normal!!!  No such word when you have grandchildren..
Belated happy birthday..

Did they get these kids who did it?   What is the matter with these people!

That reminded me of the big fire we had about a mile down the road from me a week ago, although they have now said they don't think it was started on purpose.

Yes there have been arrests for arson. Must be underage as no names in the stories I saw. Just pick one of the stories from the Google link I posted. There may be more details in newer ones.

Unthinking vandalism is my guess. I'm more concerned about the probable lost jobs. The businesses will be insures.
