Is that it then? Is Summer 2025 now done and dusted?

Ruthio

Is there a tv thread?
Anyone watch The Game with Robson Green and Jason Watkins?
Crikey, talk about gruesome! 🤣😩
But an unsatisfactory ending I thought...

Quote from: JBR on May 15, 2025, 11:50:39 AMGood luck, Mups.  It's perfectly easy, just a little loud but absolutely not painful.
You don't have a pacemaker, I assume?

No, I don't have a pacemakeer, JBR.   And I survived.

Horrid, noisy old things aren't they.
When it was getting near the end,  it started doing those awful loud beeps, like someone keep pressing their car horn repeatedly in my earhole.
I began counting,  but when it got to just over 400 wretched beeps I lost count.

Anyone, all done and dusted now, and they said results within 4 - 6 weeks.  I thought that seemed quite a long time?

Thanks again for the good wishes folks.  x

Glad you are OK, Mups.  I know what an MRI is, and had one a few years ago before my pacemaker.  Apart from the noise, no problems at all including the restricted space.

Yes, the space is very restricted,  isn't it .
I don't know how huge people would ever fit in those tunnels.
Anyway,  all done now ey.

I had only been home for 10 mins yesterday after my MRI,  when the phone rang it was a woman from ENT at the hospital.
She said they'd got a cancellation and could I get over there this morning!   I wanted to go to sort this bloomin' hearing problem out,  otherwise they couldn't see me until September.   I had to make some arrangements quick, and told her I would ring her back within 5 mins,  which I did,  to let her know I would be there today.

First they send me down to Audiology for yet another hearing test and I was to wait in the waiting room across the corridor.   5 mins later, she came in and sent me to another waiting room but didn't say why.   Then I saw two blokes go into where I had been,  and a third one followed.  I then noticed the first two were handcuffed together!
There must have been trouble of some sort, and that's why they moved me out of the way quick.

Anyway, eventually I had the test, then back upstairs again to ENT with the results,  where the consultant was on the phone to her hubby to arrange about a garden shed coming!   She did apologise and then looked at the results,  but said    she said she thinks I had better go back AGAIN,   to see  her colleague back in Audiology, and she will write to him and ask him to make me an appointment.
What another waste of time.

When I got home again, I had to catch up on a few jobs, like -  ordering some dog food and probiotics,  paying the Council for another 12 months garden waste collections, ordering a couple of things off Amazon,  and catching up on some emails.
Then after watering all my plants,   it was time to think about feeding the pooches and starting dinner.
So best part of another day gone already.

Phew.. I feel ready for bed after all that...

I've seen somebody cuffed up in hospital and getting some sort of treatment myself. Other than that bare fact I don't remember anything else about it at all.

I always thought they sent out for police doctors but maybe I've watched too many police shows on TV. There was a time when there would be several of them a week and that's not counting the police soap that was around years back  - The Bill I've just recalled and Heartbeat too of course that had a strong police element.

Could they have been prison officers, I wonder,  escorting him to a hospital appointment?   Dunno.
I don't know anything about uniforms,  but they had dark trousers and very crisp white shirts with navy shoulder bits.

Anyway, I'm worn out,  so off to beddy-bize now.   Goodnight all.

Could well have been. I only remember that the one I saw was handcuffed and that's it.

We did, liked most of it, but the ending was unconvincing.

Planted a few pots yesterday, OH mowed the grass.   No way can our wee bit be called a lawn! ☺️. Its so dry, I've emptied the water butt now using the hose.
Its not how old you are, but how you are old. 💖
