This is the one night in the year when I definitely stay in ... well, there is another but I can earn a bob or two then before I get thrown on the bonfire.

I've heard fireworks going off for the last night or two too.

Lovely photo.  We used to go guising as kids, dressed in all sorts of old clothes. Song, poem, joke, and the neighbours would give us a sweet or a penny.

We don't really have any children of the right age or cultural background round here to do that sort of stuff.

Edit - tempted fate!  Have just had a visitation and handed out all of my snacks for next week. 
As we were handing those out, the Amazon delivery driver turned up, so we gave him some too 🤣🤣🤣
