Quote from: Raven on Today at 10:32:48 AMWell that's me bought another Beco, a black one this time as it matches the black cooker. Next it will be a black fridge/freezer and I'll have them all changed from white.

Doesn't that make the kitchen seem dark though,  Raven?
When its dismal outside, mind you're not opening the cooker to store the milk, and putting your hot pot in the fridge to cook.

Alex

It's not raining ! I took my car to the garage this morning, a coolant system leak whatever that is

I'd guess somewhere between £40 and £250 or possibly more depending which bit is leaking.

No not at all, I wondered that too before I got a black cooker but it's fine. The walls are light so I guess that helps. I'll post a photo for you once it's fitted,. Monday if all goes to plan. The far wall has lot of glass so it let's in a lot of light.

£276, I need spark plugs, ignition leads, core plugs and a rocker cover.  I have absolutely no idea what any of that is - apart from spark plugs

The core plugs will be why it has coolant loss. They are bungs in the outer portion of the engine casing. TBH I've never heard of them having issues unless maybe your antifreeze was too weak but we haven't had hard frosts anyway, if the engine cooling water freezes they are designed to pop out rather than the water cracking the crankcase.

Ignition leads are the wires that carry the high voltage to the spark plugs.

The rocker cover is the metal case that sits on top of the engine covering the crankshaft (or the rockers on old fashioned cars) and valves. It's more likely just the gasket they are replacing as it's hard to see how the metal case could be damaged.

Most of that cost will be labour.
