Good morning everyone. Bright and sunny but very cold and frosty.

I hope to have the electrician come today to mend my flickering kitchen light.
Flourescent tubes are banned now, so it seems I will have to have a different light fitted. More money . . .

There are LED equivalents for some flourescent tubes. Too late now though if somebody is coming.

Direct replacements for the tube. Self fit or ask a friend - they usually just twist and pull out then push and twist the new one in. Probably more expensive than the fluorescent tubes were but no tradesman needed.

Cloudflares system for sysadmins was still not working correctly after this site came back up for me. When that was will have varied depending where you are. I have a checker that runs and checks the status and send me emails when it can't reach it and again when it can. Wherever that runs got access quite a while before I did.

I wonder if this was errors by the sites or if it was an external attack. Funny that two big players had problems within a month of each other. Amazon then Cloudflare. This site depends on both but wasn't impacted sfaik by the Amazon outage.
