Scrumpy

My neighbour told me that he was taking down the very tall (quick growing) conifer pines that border our land.. HOORAY 😁
He is concerned that they might bring down the very old wall we have that divides our property..
He is a lovely neighbour and said that it was unfair on me having such tall trees that hang over my shed and almost touch my house.
He added.. 'we can chat over the wall '.
He is ninety...
Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

Scrumpy has pulled a fella.  Must be love.

Meanwhile, today I have come to Prague with my daughter for a few days.

Scrumpy

It could be worse .. he owns a couple of houses next to his own. 😃 😃

Dextrous... Have a lovely break in Prague...
I haven't been there...

Balance training is equally crucial. "If you can't stand on one leg for thirty seconds, it's a sign your stability needs work. Practise that daily. Try standing on one leg while brushing your teeth." Falls are one of the biggest causes of hospitalisation in older adults, so this simple practice could be life-saving.

Well yes falls are nasty but it seems to me one-way to avoid the risk is by not playing silly buggers standing on one leg in the bathroom  brushing your teeth.

I have read that somewhere before, about balancing while brushing your teeth.   Don't fancy trying that.
It is true about older people falling though,  and we don't always recover as quick as the youngsters.

I do an hour long Otago class for oldies though,  which is all about building strength and balance,  its quite good actually.
I  quit the one I was doing as the drive there was not always possible, but I have found one held in the local Gym now, and it's only about a mile from home,  so that will be easier for me to get to.

Yoo-Hoo . . .   where is everyone?

I've been fighting with Ai. Going out now having restored my system back to before AI created some swish new bits i asked for which it cocked up to the extent that nothing was working. You'd think it had been outsourced to India except they probably wouldn't have made such an effective cock up.

Gone really cold here, I've put a cover over a couple of plants, just incase.   Alexa tells me it's 6 degrees at the moment.

It's a balmy 7.2°C here at the moment according to my weather station. It was only 8°C this afternoon when I was out. I almost turned back to get some gloves on.

I'm walking indoors without crutches, the pain is fairly minor now.  I even managed to do some ironing earlier. Deep joy! 😬. Every move towards mobility is a plus.  I'm missing my exercise class, won't get back in the pool this year probably.  The group I'm friendly with sent lovely flowers 🌷 that was a big cheer up!  Lots to be thankful for.
Its not how old you are, but how you are old. 💖

Good to hear that you are doing well and not having setbacks on the road to recovery.
