Alex

I went to the theatre today over in Liverpool, now sitting with a gin and tonic - I've had a good day

Sounds good, what did you see?

I'm going on Tuesday, A Streetcar Named Desire, at the Crucible.

It was a play at the Royal Court based on the life of Bill Shankly, Scots actor Peter Mullen was brilliant, Les Dennis supporting.

I am being treated for Sunday dinner out today.
My son and DIL  said an early Mothers Day outing.  :upvote:

Saw Les Dennis in Spring and Port Wine in the Octagon Theatre Bolton a few years back.  He has stage presence for sure, and was very good.

We're going to see Paddy McGuinness at the Lowry on Thursday.

And another thing ..I have just noticed that the 100,000 year old Himalayan Rock salt packet I have in the cupboard has a 2 year expiration date! Crazy eh?

Morning, Start of another week then, can't see across the garden for thick fog, not been like this for a while. Another week of no pool, just not strong enough yet, can't believe how weak and wobbly this has left me. Still I'm on the mend albeit it very slowly.

Quite so.

Reminds me of how slate is around 400million years old, and we manage to catch it when it's only got around 100-150 years of use left.

Hope you feel better soon.  Takes longer to recover as we get older, one of the joys of ageing!  Sunnyish here at the moment, at least not raining after a fairly wet weekend.  Off to Donny later, going for tea with my daughter' and granddaughter, and staying over. It'll make a nice change.

Good morning good people.
Just a boring 'domestic chores'  type day today, can hardly contain my excitement.

P.S.  Finally got the TENS machine going last night!

Here's hoping all with problems here make swift recoveries. Age certainly doesn't help with that.

dextrous63

Indeed, and I hope that you are all feeling more chipper very soon.

Have been to the gym, aldi and pharmacy.  Few odd jobs to do round the house and then tuition later.

Going home for lunch after a couple of hours at BHF. Then off for the train.
