I use YouTube to work out how to use new features on new calculators.  God only knows why they keep changing things.

It's an  Auvon,  Model AS9020. 
Wish I'd have got the Omron now.

I'm guessing that's the Dual channel 20 modes one on Amazon and this user guide..

Does look more complicated than mine but essentially its stick the pads on pick a program then start at low intensity and work your way up til you can at least feel it. Try stronger when you are happy.

I tend to stick with known/respected brands for things like that. Did you read the reviews? Always start with  one star then work up. Look for the same type of complaint appearing several times. Complicated, unreliable and weak seem to get mentions but it could always be competitors paying for bad reviews.

If you can't fathom it out do a return saying poor quality and cite  very poor and confusing  usage instructions then it goes back free.
