Got home from a walk less than 10 minutes ago. Looked outside and it's raining now. I had no idea any was expected. I'l count that as a win.

We just had about 5 minutes of hail stones here.   I am not surprised though,  its so bloomin' cold.

Klondike,  I've  just received that  £50 Nationwide message you said about the other day, too. Good ey.

I am feeling a bit sorry for myself today because of a headache and also a rotten backache which is stopping me sleeping properly.  Going to the Chiropractor tomorrow.

Hope you get your back fixed. Years back I had a problem with my back that lasted and lasted. Normally mine clear themselves up in a few days but it hung around for well over a month. I went to a chiropractor and after several wallet massages it started getting better. I've had it play up several times since but so far just the short term ones.

Nationwide seem good for that sort of thing. I guess it's because they remained a mutual.

And hailstones here! The sun is coming out again now. 🌦
Its not how old you are, but how you are old. 💖

May have been hail here I suppose. I only glanced out but it was noisy.

Thank you Klondike.
It's miserable when something hurts all the time, isn't it.
I've got to be over Kempston for 12 o/clock.   Quite a drive for me these days,  but she's a good gal and has looked after me for many years.   She's a McTimoney practitioner,  much gentler than the orthodox Chiropractors.

She  did extra training years ago, and is  qualified to do horses and dogs as well as people.
Many years ago I had a dog who put a disc out.   The vet x-rayed her but only gave her pain killers.
So I took her to my friend and 45 mins later she jumped in the car and was all better.   The vet was very impressed when I showed him how she was.

Oddly with that long lasting back issue it didn't hurt all the time. I had a 40 minute drive to work. In the car that was fine. Getting out of the car and standing nearly brought tears. Then again at work sitting at the desk was fine and the pain came when I stood up again. I don't recall details of getting in and out of bed or much else. It must have been painful because it always is with the short term periods but it's the two I've mentioned that really stick in my mind.

Years ago I remember going to a chap at Northampton.  He used to look after the football team's injuries.
He was a really nice man,  but by gum he was a brute!   That's the last thing you want when you are already hurting!
Nor sure now,  but I think his name might have been McCormack?

Anyway,  glad you are sorted and fingers crossed it stays that way, ey.

Friend of mine went to osteopath for a bad back. The man asked Bernard how he had found him and Bernard said that a friend had recommended him. 'If he recommended me, he's no friend' was the reply. Bernard soon found out the reason - he said it felt as though one of the vertebra had been torn out of his spine - but within minutes the pain was gone!

My daughter did a degree in sports injuries. A sports massage is a rough old affair. She does massages privately as a sideline but can do either sports or remedial or I suppose just relaxation types. I'm not sure what most of hers are.

She was in the process of setting up a business as a personal trainer but Covid scuppered that and she is working as a physio assistant in a private hospital. She needs to do an extension course to her degree for NHS recognition and to be a full physio there which she does intend to do later.

Muppsy I really feel for you girl, I'm going through much the same thing just now. It's a week yesterday since I've been dressed, my whole shoulder seized up for no reason I can think of 😭 couldn't move without screaming but things are easing up a wee bit, 4 days without food, couldn't face it, just water, been trying to sleep in the recliner chair as I can't lie down, hair is all messed up Dunc bless him has been trying his best to keep it tidy but he's no hairdresser. I can't get the arm up enough to grab, brush and plait.
Due to see my Chiro guy again tomorrow but Dunc will take me over.
