Sun's out but it's not too cold, winds blowing but not too strong Soooooo am going to put the washing out on the ropes for a while, hopefully it will dry. Sick of drying it indoors.

Just looked again, and it seems they've got an NHS van parked in their car park. It says 'No appointment necessary.'

The plumber's just left after mending the boiler. When he came I apologised, "Sorry about the cold house, but the heating broken".

Actually the odd day in one's life clutching a hot water bottle does make one appreciate being warm. Now this wouldn't have happened in my parents' day unless they ran out of coal. Having said that, it probably happened before I arrived on the planet.

I just approached a dead rat on the living room floor very cautiously only to find it's a pair of socks. Quite relieved really.

Ugh, how awful.

Meanwhile, I have to reflect upon my wife's logic. One of the clothes washing liquid pouches had split in the plastic carton, so she decided to take the rest of them out and wash them clean in warm water. Luckily she stopped as soon as I explained to her that the pouches were designed to dissolve in warm water🤣🤣🤣🥹
