I don't think it's near enough to be heard, it's the fact the damn thing is there that annoys me. I absolutely hate those things, there's a wind farm just south of Thurso on the A9 called "Causeymire" I pass it often, it's got a load of huge pylons some right beside the road. I walked with Dageus round the field paths once and there was a good bit of noise.

It beggars belief that anyone actually thinks that this is a long term solution to electricity generation, or indeed that it is acceptable to blight the land with.

When ever I go past these turbines around this area,  half of them aren't working anyway.

They're just yet more money the government wasted.

True.  Reminds me of a couple of movies, one of which was about some youngsters who got stuck on a ski lift all night.

I've been for a couple of miles walk around a park too.  Lovely it was, temperature in double figures and very sunny.

Been to B & Q today, it was lovely and sunny but a big snow drift was still frozen on the car park.
