Looking at those flats,  I still don't see why any dog would willingly  jump out of a window that high up,  or how his legs weren't broken on landing  - or perhaps they were for all we know.

I believe one reply on Facebook,  (an animal rescue) said the dog used to live with a family with children,  but they rehomed it.    Fancy rehoming a large dog to someone in a small flat!   I believe they are housing association flats.

I would also love to know what those men were doing at the time the dog bit them, or why he was so 'agitated.'
For example,  I have heard of some druggies giving their dogs drugs too!!
Did he bite through aggression,  or fear, I wonder?

When I used to breed dogs years ago,  I would ,ever, let a pup go to anyone in a flat,  nor people who were out at work all day either.
I remember one idiot asking me how to 'make it guard'!!  He wanted one of my beautiful German Shepherd pups.   I told him where to go, too.
I had bred my dogs for good temperament for generations,  and no way would I allow any half-wit to try and undo that.   The Police had a pup off me once as well,  but they told me after a while, that it was no good because it wouldn't bite!   I told them to bring him back.  He was a gorgeous boy, but too soft for them.

Passing on any animal is entirely the responsibility of the owner.  You do your best for them,  else don't have them in the first place.

We do not know anything about this poor dog's life and upbringing, or what he had been taught,  just the sad ending he had.

We're heading out with the Clydes up river this morning. It's not raining or snowing, Dunc says they need an outing.

Didn't get up river after all, it was over the banks and flooding the paths, :worried: so ended up in a snowy forest instead...Roll on Spring.

Raven

Away to make another big pot of soup, lentil this time.

Another lovley photo,  Raven.  :upvote:

Thankyou 😁 Photography is one of my loves and I always take photos when I'm out, then sort and delete through them. I have several cameras one even lives in the car. But it's always the phone camera used when out hacking with the Clydes.

Tell me something please Raven,  my phone camera is better than my old camera was,  but I have never been able to work out how to get the photo's off my phone to store on my computer.
Do you transfer yours onto your computer, or post pics straight from your phone to here?  Ta.

Raven

Both actually lol. You need to hook up your phone to your computer with it's charging lead, but each phone has a different way of downloading to the computer. You could look on YouTube putting your phones name ect in the video search, failing that get one of your kids or grands to show you.

dextrous63

What sort of phone have you got Mups?  Don't know why you don't save stuff to a free cloud drive.

Raven

I've never used The Cloud, I back up things I want to keep onto a separate drive that I keep in my desk drawer. I have 2, one for films ect, the other for photos, audio books, and jigsaw pics I downloaded.

dextrous63

Fair enough.  I've got an external drive which I use to backup my cloud files.

For Mups, I was thinking along the lines of her piccies going straight to a cloud drive via a data allowance, and she could access them from her pc from there to download locally.

Raven

Yes she could but I couldn't tell her how to do that, I'm one of those who need to be shown not told, then I get it. I was first shown how to use the separate drive and I've done it that way ever since.
It's easy enough getting photos from the phone to the computer, but they don't all use the same way to set up, then it's simple just pull the pics over and pop them into a folder. I had quite a job last week doing this with my new phone, old one was a Huawei and new one a Samsung. But got it now.
