It's very quiet here today,  has everyone nodded off in the chair?

Ohhhh, righty ho. Like Dex we say PJ's.  :busted:

Was over on "OFF" a while ago, where I was highly insulted. I was called a "Sassenach"   The cheek of him.  :nooo:
Dunc said my face was a picture.......Once the bugger stopped laughing.  :poke:

dextrous63

By whom were you thus abused?

Raven

By a guy who's been a member for a good while actually. "d00d" .

dextrous63

Scoundrel indeed.  He was a good guy for a while, who even joined PF for a few months before abandoning ship and returning to turnip farming on the allotment.

Traitor!!

Raven

Maybe he was blootered, he's never come to the Scottish Thread before. 🤷

Possibly.  Or maybe it's been a very quiet day on the site and he had to cross the border to find any action going on?

You never know Dex you never know.

Colder this morning,  only 3 degs so far.   Just finishing my Porridge.

Waiting for the plumber to come and fix me a new new kitchen mixer tap on.

Raven

Well that's the family on the road back south to their homes. Now the big tidy up begins.

Who remembers the Everly Brothers?  Come on,  own up,  I don't believe its only me.

They were popular way back in the 60's,  but didn't know that they did a reunion show in the early 80's, and that is what I am watching as we speak.    It's on BBC 4.

I am really enjoying it.  They are playing guitars,  and they were not only still damn good harmonizing,  their songs were good as well.
All their backing musicians are so perfect,  and the brothers were even dressed in suits and bow ties to sing - so unlike most of the scruffy buggers nowadays,  a lot of which look like they haven't even combed their hair for a month.

They are just singing  "Bye Bye Love."   Do you remember that one?

Such a shame most of the oldies we knew and grew up with are gone now.

klondike

You are not alone. I remember them although they were never a huge success.

Mups

Thanks Klondike,  I enjoyed that.

I remember  Wake up Little Susie.. and All I have to do is Dream..
They were played many times at our local dance hall.. Along with Presley..

The Orchid Ballroom.. We had live bands there.. and the songs from the Everly Brothers were often sung..
Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..
